FETI Educators bring home honors from CommTECH Nusantara 2026

The two-week virtual camp convenes approximately 140 participants from various countries across Asia, creating a dynamic platform for intercultural exchange, collaborative learning, and global engagement. Through a series of lectures, cultural immersion activities, group projects, and presentations, participants explore diverse themes while building meaningful international connections.

Dr. Lorelie J. Paloma leads SLSU’s roster of achievers, winning the Best Participant Award in the course “The Secret of Indonesian Urban Legends and Horror Story.” The distinction recognizes her exemplary participation, engagement, and outstanding contributions throughout the program. Adding to this remarkable achievement, Dr. Paloma was offered a fully sponsored exchange opportunity in Indonesia this November, further strengthening SLSU’s internationalization efforts and academic partnerships abroad.
Meanwhile, Ms. Juvy Pagola Obus earns a Special Award for Live Presentation. The organizers bestow this recognition upon participants who demonstrate exceptional communication skills, content delivery, and audience engagement during the program’s presentation sessions. Her achievement highlights the caliber of SLSU educators who continue to excel on international platforms.

Dr. Paloma and Ms. Obus are among the 13 delegates from Southern Leyte State University who participate in the international virtual camp. They represent the institution alongside fellow faculty members and personnel who remain committed to advancing global learning and professional development.
