SLSU Sogod Campus joins 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

Southern Leyte State University – Sogod Campus, participated in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, showcasing the institution's commitment to disaster risk reduction and emergency preparedness. The activity was actively participated in by employees, staff, and students, who joined the synchronized drill aimed at strengthening the country’s collective preparedness and response to earthquake emergencies.

A key highlight of the drill was the search and rescue simulation successfully conducted by the SLSU Student Active Response Team (SART). The SART members demonstrated their training and readiness by executing rescue protocols, showcasing skills essential for real-world emergency scenarios. The simulation served as both a practical exercise for the responders and an educational opportunity for the university community to witness proper emergency response procedures in action.
