SLSU clinches dual milestone at the National Research Awards Philippines 2025
Southern Leyte State University (Southern Leyte State University) earned major recognitions at the National Research Awards Philippines 2025, highlighting the University’s continued progress in research, academic publishing, and institutional development.
Among the awardees, Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy was named University Research Vice President of the Year 2025. The award recognizes her leadership in advancing the University’s research initiatives and strengthening its research programs.
SLSU was also recognized as a Silver Award Winner in the category for universities that produced 71–99 Scopus-indexed documents. This recognition reflects the University’s increasing number of internationally indexed research publications.
The achievements were noted alongside reports from GHF University Excellence, an organization that supports higher education institutions in improving research output and global competitiveness.
