SLSU–San Juan Shines on the Global Stage in International Business Case Competition

Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) – San Juan Campus notched a major feat on the international academic stage as its Accountancy students demonstrated excellence in the Global Synergy: International Business Case Competition 2025, a tri-national academic collaboration that SLSU proudly hosted in partnership with Tra Vinh University in Vietnam and Universitas Multimedia Nusantara in Indonesia, showcasing the power of cross-border learning, teamwork, and global collaboration.
 
Team InnoSolvers proudly clinched 1st Runner-Up in the Final Round of the competition, showcasing exceptional analytical skills, innovation, and strategic thinking against strong international contenders. The team is composed of Andre Gantala, Kimberly Banalo, Vincent Warren Wabina, and Jhosua Cabañas, under the guidance of their coach, Mylyn C. Agapay.
 
Adding to this remarkable achievement, both competing teams from the Accountancy Department of SLSU–San Juan Campus advanced to the Final Round, proving the campus’s strong academic preparation and global competitiveness. Team Matching Minds, composed of Erra May Caslib, Lynn Dichon, Jamie Shane Pamon, and Novelia Diane Boca, with Christian James C. Lopina as coach, emerged as Finalists in the prestigious competition.
 
The event highlighted the value of cross-border academic partnerships, collaborative problem-solving, and culturally responsive learning in preparing students for the global business environment.
 
SLSU extends its heartfelt congratulations to both teams for their outstanding performance, teamwork, and innovative thinking. Their achievements not only brought honor to the university but also inspired future students to pursue excellence beyond borders.
