Excellence Continues: SLSU Recommended to Maintain ISO 9001:2015 Certification

As we close the month, Southern Leyte State University proudly celebrates yet another milestone that showcases our unwavering commitment to service excellence and continuous quality improvement. The University has been recommended for the continued certification to ISO 9001:2015, following the successful conduct of the 1st Surveillance Audit after our recertification last year.

This achievement is not merely a reflection of compliance but a testament to the culture of determination, collaboration, and shared responsibility that continues to define the entire SLSU community. From leadership to faculty, staff, and stakeholders, the spirit of unity and dedication to quality remains at the heart of our operations.

The external audit team from SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. selected academic and administrative offices in the Sogod Main Campus, Maasin City Campus, and Hinunangan Campus. Their presence was welcomed with openness, transparency, and genuine engagement across units.

This positive outcome is also a result of our strong receptiveness with the auditors, a reflection of SLSU’s eagerness to learn, adapt, and further uplift its processes. The university did not only present its systems confidently but also took the audit as a meaningful opportunity to listen, collaborate, and embrace insights that strengthen our efforts toward continual improvement. The exchange of perspectives allowed both the auditors and the University to reaffirm our shared vision of quality outcomes and service excellence.

As we move forward, Southern Leyte State University continues to uphold the core values of integrity, innovation, and commitment to public service. The recommendation for continued certification strengthens our resolve to keep enhancing our Quality Management System, fulfilling our mission of providing excellent instruction, research, and community service.

LUPAD, SLSU!

Excellence thrives where unity and purpose lead the way.
