SLSU Honors Excellence and Service in Gandilan Awards 2025
In celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) proudly held the Gandilan Awards 2025 across its six campuses, recognizing employees whose commitment and excellence embody the true spirit of public service.
The Gandilan Awards serve as the University’s annual tradition to honor faculty and staff whose commitment, excellence, and integrity embody the true essence of public service. The term “Gandilan” — meaning firm and steadfast — symbolizes the values of every SLSU public servant who contributes to the institution’s mission and vision.
Each campus organized its own awarding ceremony, highlighting employees who demonstrated exemplary performance, loyalty, innovation, and unwavering dedication to service.
The series of awarding ceremonies began at the Bontoc Campus on September 29, 2025, at 9:00 AM, followed by the Main Campus on the same day at 1:00 PM. The celebration continued at the Hinunangan Campus on September 30, 2025, at 9:00 AM, and at the San Juan Campus at 2:00 PM. On October 1, 2025, the Maasin City Campus and Tomas Oppus Campus concluded the event series at 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, respectively.
