Kasidlak Creatives Club Stages Arts Exhibit Celebrating Filipino Culture

The Kasidlak Creatives Club successfully held its Arts Exhibit from September 16 to 20, 2024, at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences Audio-Visual Room of Southern Leyte State University. The week-long exhibit served as a vibrant showcase of Filipino culture through various art forms.
Featured prominently were paintings of fruits, flowers, and fiesta scenes—each piece reflecting the rich and colorful heritage of the Philippines. Adding a dynamic layer to the exhibit were short films highlighting the themes "Science in Culture" and "Culture in Science," demonstrating the fusion of creativity and intellect.
Student artists engaged with the audience through live on-the-spot drawing sessions and face painting activities. A unique attraction was the “Freedom Board,” which invited spectators to express their thoughts and creativity freely within the exhibit area.
Custom-made items such as keychains and stickers were also made available for purchase, showcasing the entrepreneurial side of student artistry.
The exhibit drew over a thousand attendees, including students, employees, and key university officials, marking the event as one of the most well-attended creative showcases of the academic year.
