Southern Leyte State U - Main Campus recognizes
In a heartfelt GANDILAN Awards 2024, in line with the celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the Southern Leyte State University honors the hardwork of its excellent public servants.
The 5th GANDILAN Awards commenced at the SLSU-Main Campus, Multi-Purpose Court (MPC) on October 8, 2024, which was officially opened by University President, Dr. Jude A. Duarte through his welcome message.
The event was graced by the Director II of the Civil Service Commission SLFO, Dir. Michael M. Dela Cruz. The director delivered his inspirational message, reminding everyone that a happy workforce is the foundation of a strong institution.
Following Director Dela Cruz’s message was the highlight of the evening, the awarding of certificates in recognition to the excellent service rendered by this year’s GANDILAN honorees, led by the University PRAISE Committee and Key Officials.

Earlier that day, an oathtaking ceremony for the newly-hired, promoted and reassigned faculty and staff in the Main campus also took place, welcoming the new addition to the SLSU family.
To close the ceremony, Dr. Dewoowoogen P. Baclayon, the Vice President for Administration and Finance and Assistant Executives Officer extended his warm congratulations to the GANDILAN honorees while encouraging everyone to soar greater heights in the field of public service.
