Faculty of Governance and Development Studies Concludes "Midyear Performance Evaluation and Target Setting 2024"

The Faculty of Governance and Development Studies successfully held a three-day event titled "Midyear Performance Evaluation and Target Setting 2024" at Sabin Resort Hotel in Linao, Ormoc City, Leyte. The event was led by Planning Officer Ms. Juvenal F. Sumaya, MBA.

The first day began with registration, followed by the Philippine National Anthem, an invocation, and the SLSU-Hymn presented through multimedia. Campus Director Dr. Frederick C. Aniga delivered a welcome message, and Ms. Madonna Grace Jacobe, Administrative Officer V, set the expectations for the event. Ms. Sumaya then presented the Strategic Continuum. The day also featured presentations and evaluations of midyear reports, where each unit head discussed their targets and achievements from January to June 2024.

On the second day of the event, the Midyear Reports were reviewed and feedback was provided. Catch-up plans were developed and presented to address underachieved and unmet targets. After each unit's presentation, Dr. Frederick Aniga offered feedback, comments, and recommendations.

On the final day of the event, there was a recap of the previous day's activities and a presentation of the action plan. Participants shared their positive impressions, noting that they were very pleased with the activity as it helped them identify areas for improvement and development. They appreciated how the event encouraged each department not only to meet basic requirements but also to strive for excellence, fostering a culture of initiative.
Campus Director Dr. Frederick C. Aniga delivered a message emphasizing that the achievements aimed for are not individual accomplishments but collective successes of everyone in the organization. This was followed by a closing message from Ms. Juvenal F. Sumaya, Planning Officer, who expressed gratitude for the support of the Campus Director, faculty, administrative staff, and everyone involved in making the activity possible.

This Midyear Performance Evaluation and Target Setting supported the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
