SLSU MCC Hosts Writeshop to Boost Scopus Paper Publications

A successful event, "Writeshop for the Production of Scopus Papers: Adapting and Exploring AI Tools and the Scopus Database," was held at SLSU-Maasin City Campus on June 25, 2024. This initiative aimed to enhance academic output and elevate research standards within the university.

The guest speaker and renowned researcher, Dr. Prisno III, opened the event by showcasing diverse research findings from various campuses, inspiring participants to engage in research endeavors. He taught them how to adapt AI tools and emphasized the importance of research output from the Maasin Campus. He stated, "By equipping faculty members with the necessary tools and knowledge, this can serve as an avenue to increase the university's presence in high-impact academic publications."

In the afternoon session, Mr. Jerico B. Ogaya guided participants on utilizing the Scopus database. Three faculty members successfully presented and submitted their research papers for Scopus indexing.Participants praised and appreciated the activity for its practical approach and collaborative environment. The program concluded successfully, fostering knowledge exchange and academic collaboration among the participants.
