SLSU-San Juan Campus, PICPA-Southern Leyte Chapter host province-wide accountancy week celebration

In collaboration with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants-Southern Leyte chapter and the Southern Leyte State University-San Juan Campus jointly host the province-wide accountancy week celebration on March 22, 2024, at the campus-covered court. Themed "Beyond Numbers: Redefining the roles of CPAs," the event gathered participants from the College of Maasin and the SLSU-San Juan Campus.

The day started with a program, followed by a tree planting initiative in Himbangan, Saint Bernard, promoting environmental stewardship. This was followed by a written accounting challenge, which tested the participants' academic knowledge. The event's highlight was the Quiz Bowl, where students from different institutions competed to showcase their understanding of accounting principles, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Furthermore, the 3rd General Membership Meeting provided a platform for CPAs and aspiring accountants to network, exchange ideas, and stay updated on industry trends. The meeting concluded with the introduction of a new set of PICPA officers, symbolizing continuity and leadership in advancing the accountancy profession.
