Southern Leyte State U qualifies for the PBB anew

Southern Leyte State University once again qualified for the 2021 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB).

PBB is a performance-based incentive system that rewards and recognizes individuals and agencies, including state universities and colleges, that have contributed significantly to the government's objectives and outcomes.

For a university like Southern Leyte State U to qualify for PBB, it signifies that the institution has demonstrated exemplary performance and met the required criteria.

It further reflects the university's commitment to excellence, effective utilization of resources, and the delivery of quality services to its clients and stakeholders.

According to the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance Monitoring, Information, and Reporting Systems, Southern Leyte State U has achieved an impressive score of 80 points for the PBB criteria and conditions.

The PBB scorecard provides a breakdown of the university's performance results in different areas.

Southern Leyte State U received 15 points for its Performance Results, indicating that it has achieved commendable outcomes and targets in its operations and objectives. This highlights the university's effectiveness in delivering its core functions and meeting performance expectations.

In terms of Process Results, Southern Leyte State U received 20 points. This suggests that the university has implemented efficient and effective processes and procedures in its operations, leading to improved productivity and streamlined workflows.

The university also obtained 20 points for Financial Results, indicating sound financial management practices. This means that the Southern Leyte State U has effectively managed its resources, budgets, and expenditures, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible use of funds.

Client Satisfaction Results garnered the university 25 points, showcasing its commitment to meeting the needs and expectations of its clients and stakeholders. This indicates that Southern Leyte State U has provided high-quality services and has received positive feedback from its clients and stakeholders.

Further, all eligible personnel are entitled to receive 52% of their monthly basic salary as their PBB for fiscal year 2021.

University President Dr. Jude A. Duarte is happy about the news, saying that being eligible for PBB enhances the university's reputation and credibility, that it is committed to delivering quality education and services.

Since 2012, Southern Leyte State U has been consistently PBB-eligible except in 2018 and 2019.
