SLSU alumnus is now a Professional Electrical Engineer

Southern Leyte State University takes immense pride in celebrating the remarkable achievement of one of its distinguished alumni, Engr. Christsen Mark L. Belleza.

Hailing from the graduating class of 2008, Engr. Belleza has not only made his mark in the industry but has also recently succeeded in the April 2023 Technical Evaluation for the Upgrading as Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE), further solidifying his status as a trailblazer in the field.

PEE is a higher level of licensure and expertise in electrical engineering that is given only to individuals who have obtained the necessary qualifications and licensure from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The qualifications include obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized and accredited educational institution in the Philippines, pass the licensure examination for Electrical Engineer, and a minimum of four years of relevant work experience.

To become a full-fledged PEE after passing the board exam, one must need to register, submit necessary requirements, and meet other requirements set by PRC for evaluation.

Engr. Belleza's journey towards professional excellence began during his time at Southern Leyte State U, where he honed his skills and knowledge in the field of electrical engineering.

With a strong foundation provided by the university's esteemed faculty and comprehensive curriculum, he emerged as a promising young engineer.

Shortly after graduating, Engr. Belleza set his sights on obtaining his professional license. With hard work and dedication, he successfully passed the licensure examination for electrical engineers in the same year of his graduation. This accomplishment catapulted him into a career that would take him to new heights.

Fast forward to April 2023, Engr. Belleza continues to make waves in the industry.

He has triumphed in the Technical Evaluation for the Upgrading as Professional Electrical Engineers, a rigorous assessment administered by the Board of Electrical Engineering in Manila.

Among the 58 successful candidates who passed this challenging evaluation, Engr. Belleza's achievement shines brightly, demonstrating his exceptional aptitude and commitment to his profession.

While his professional journey has taken him far from his homeland, Engr. Belleza has ventured overseas to Doha, Qatar, where he currently resides and works as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).

His expertise and skills are highly sought after in the international arena, contributing not only to his personal growth but also to the global recognition of Filipino electrical engineers.

Engr. Belleza's accomplishments serve as an inspiration to aspiring engineers and the Might Kingfishers. His unwavering dedication, perseverance, and continuous pursuit of excellence exemplify the values instilled by the university.

By scaling new heights in his profession, Engr. Belleza has proven that Southern Leyte State U's commitment to nurturing talented individuals translates into real-world success stories.

PRC released the results of the Technical Evaluation for the Upgrading as Professional Electrical Engineers on May 3, along with announcement of the list of passers for the Electrical Engineers Master Electricians Licensure Examinations.
