Southern Leyte State U undergoes AACCUP institutional accreditation

To maintain a certified roster of quality programs and develop a culture of quality, Southern Leyte State University is submitting its two undergraduate programs and three graduate programs to institutional accreditation administered by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) starting today, April 17.

The programs that undergo accreditation are the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in Main Campus, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in Bontoc Campus, Master in Management in the Main Campus, Master of Arts in Teaching in Main Campus, and Master of Arts in Education in Tomas Oppus Campus.

Among the five programs to be accredited, four of which are for Level IV. Only the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology in Bontoc Campus is for Level III.

During the opening ceremony, University President Dr. Jude A. Duarte highlights how the university values accreditation to ensure quality of the programs in gearing towards becoming one of the premier universities in the Philippines.

The week-long virtual AACCUP accreditation will conclude on Thursday, April 20.

This is the third time that Southern Leyte State U underwent a virtual accreditation by AACCUP since pandemic in 2020.
