Southern Leyte State U records 76 passers in September 2022 social work board exam

Seventy-six (76) graduates from Southern Leyte State University-Maasin City Campus passed the September 2022 Social Worker Licensure Exam (SWLE) after the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results on Tuesday, September 27.

Out of 76, 67 of which are first-time takers while the other nine (9) are repeaters.

The University garnered a 72.83% institutional passing rate for first-timers and an overall passing percentage of 69.72.

The number of this batch's examiners who successfully passed the licensure exam is a big leap from the last February 2022 performance with only eight (8) passers.

Maasin City Campus Director Dr. Maria Estela E. Roa is ecstatic with the improvements of the University's performance on SWLE while hoping to produce topnotchers for the next.

Gian Paul Salanio from University of the Philippines-Diliman led the roster of passers with 88.8% passing rate, while 8 universities ranked first as top-performing schools—Asian Social Institute, Ateneo de Davao University, Bicol University-Tabaco, Caraga State University-Butuan City, La Verdad Christian College, Leyte Normal University, Notre Dame of Marbel University, and University of the Philippines-Diliman.

PRC and the Board for Social Workers conducted the board exam in Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga on September 19-21 with a total of 2,955 passers out of 4,723.
