New set of FSSC officers takes oath

Fostering the value of willingness to serve, the newly set of officers of the Federation of Supreme Student Council (FSSC) of Southern Leyte State University formally took oath on during the courtesy call with the University President on Monday, September 26.

University President Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes administered the oath of the 13-member FSSC including the President-elect and incoming Student Regent Joshua E. Orais.

Meanwhile, Dr. Yepes reminded FSSC the duties and responsibilities of becoming student leaders and solicited their support in fulfilling the mission and vision of the University.

"You are put into these positions because your fellow students believed in you. FSSC and the University Officials shall work together hand-in-hand for the betterment of our University," she said.

Dr. Yepes also assured her full support to the student council in all of its future endeavors.

FSSC Adviser Dr. Clemente H. Cobilla was present during the ceremony who served as a witness while the newly set of FSSC officers sworn to accept the challenge of upholding the true essence of leadership.

The FSSC officers are composed of the elected student leaders from the six campuses of the University and were put in their respective positions in the council by their fellow officers across the whole University system.
