BIST taps Tomas Oppus Campus for academic collab, forges partnership through MOA signing

The Southern Leyte State University forges partnership with Bato Institute of Science and Technology, Inc. (BIST) for academic collaboration.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between Southern Leyte State University and Bato Institute of Science and Technology, Inc. (BIST) represented by its presidents, Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes and Madame Josephine K. Germano respectively, for an extension project dubbed "Technology Utilization and Development for Learning Upgrade and Enhancement" (TUDLUE).

The extension program aims to upskill the technology utilization and development capability of the academic personnel. It is in line with the mandate of providing advanced education, higher technological, professional instruction, and training in education.

TUDLUE is under the C-PEAKS) Community Productivity Enhancement through Advance Knowledge generation and Sharing) Program offered in Tomas Oppus Campus, which has the full responsibility with regard to the intent and procedure of the extension program after it has conducted a needs assessment.

Present in the MOA Signing were the Tomas Oppus Campus Director Dr. Constantino G. Medillo, Tomas Oppus Campus Research, Innovation and Extension Head Dr. Max Teody T. Quimilat, BIST Inc. Executive Vice President Alexa Erine Joyce G. Lecaros and BIST Budget Officer Ernesto Lorenzo K. Germano who served as witnesses of the partnership.

The academic collaboration between Southern Leyte State U and BIST not only provide value addition to the academic programs of both institutions but also help in training both tits stakeholders in developing academic orientation.
