REIS answers call of DOST-PCIEERD to support faculty, researchers; holds writeshop and orientation

The Office of the Research, Innovations, and Extension Services (REIS) of Southern Leyte State University conducted a writeshop and orientation on writing papers related to industry, energy, and emerging technology research & development on May 23, 2022 to selected faculty of College of Technology (COT), College of Engineering, (COE) College of Computer Studies and Information Technology (CCSIT) and staff of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technology Center.
The said activity is in response to the call of Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) of the Department of Science and Technology (DSOT) to support researchers, faculty, and other Science & Technology personnel of academic and research institutions.

The activity aims to equip the participants by providing them an intensive participatory writeshop that will serve as a platform for them to gain experiences and lessons on writing PCIEERD fundable papers.

The activity includes write shop, and initial and final paper presentations. The participants were expected to submit more or less seven fundable research proposals.

The writeshop and orientation on writing papers related to industry, energy, and emerging technology research & development is in line with the University’s goal which is to implement responsive extension program, projects, activities (PPAs) for sustainable development.
