SLSU gets 100 passing rate

Southern Leyte State university (SLSU) got a 100% passing rate for first-time takers of the August 2021 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination, with a national average of 39.77%.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday, August 24, that 247 out of 621 passed the exam. The results were released six (6) working days after the last day of examinations.

SLSU has produced two (2) newly registered mechanical engineers. They are Engr. Jaypee Lamo Bucatcat and Engr. Doods Raven Tenio Lolo.

Nathaniel Beaver Apostol Mendoza of St. Louis University topped this year’s board exam with a passing average of 90.5%. Alongside SLSU in the list of top-performing schools with 100% overall performance are Adamson University, Ateneo de Davao University, Camarines Norte State College-Daet, Malayan Colleges Laguna, Mapua (For M.I.T)-Manila, Mindanao State University-Marawi City, New Era University, Saint Peter’s College-Iligan City, and University of Mindanao-Davao City.

This year’s results surpassed last year’s standing with a school passing rate of only 80.95%.
