Association of Graduate Students and Graduate School Student Organization Conduct Gift-Giving
The Association of Graduate Students (AGS) and Graduate School Student Organization (GRASSO) of Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) organized a gift-giving event in Zone 5, Sogod, Southern Leyte last December 17, 2022 which was met with a positive feedback. The event was aimed at spreading holiday cheer to the selected members of the community and was conducted in partnership with local organizations and volunteers. The event saw the participation of several members of the AGS, GRASSO and some faculty members, who came together to provide gifts and other essentials to those in need. The gifts included food, and other items, which were distributed to children, families, and seniors in Zone 5. The Association of Graduate Students partnered with local organizations and volunteers to ensure that the event ran smoothly. These organizations and volunteers provided logistical support, including transportation, distribution of gifts, and coordination with local officials. The gift-giving event was received with gratitude and appreciation by the members of the community. The event not only provided essential items to those in need but also served as a reminder of the spirit of giving during the holiday season. "I am proud of our Graduate Students for organizing this gift-giving giving activity. This manifested the association’s commitment in making a positive impact in the community, and this event is just one of the many ways in achieving that goal," said Dr. James Bryan Flores, a faculty member of the university. The Association of Graduate Students and Graduate School Student Organization had once again demonstrated its commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
