SLSU collaborates with local businesses to strengthen technology commercialization

Southern Leyte State University's Intellectual Property–Technology Business Management Office (IP-TBM), under the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office, conducted a consultative meeting with Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in the Province of Southern Leyte to explore avenues for potential commercialization of SLSU technologies. The event, held on March 18, 2024, at the Training Hall in the RIES Building, attracted diverse organizations eager to participate in collaborative ventures and foster innovation.

During the meeting, participants analyzed their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, enabling the university to discern where and how it could offer assistance. Attendees were also introduced to shared service facilities stationed at the university that could enhance and grow their business ventures.

Moreover, the consultative meeting served as a platform for fostering dialogue and synergy between the academe and MSMEs, laying the groundwork for future partnerships that promise to drive innovation and sustainable development in Southern Leyte. This exemplifies the university's vision of strengthening technological breakthroughs to enhance the capabilities of local MSMEs and facilitating knowledge and technology transfer to stimulate economic growth and foster societal progress within the province.
