Southern Leyte State U invites DBM 8 Regional Director for budget planning, execution workshop

Southern Leyte State U, through the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance, spearheaded a two-day hybrid training that centered on reviewing the University’s practices on budget planning, execution, and management on August 17-18, 2023 in the Plenary Hall, SLSU – Main Campus.

Attended by more than fifty SLSU personnel, University-wide, with forty participants also attending via Zoom, the event served as a platform to enhance financial knowledge, exchange experiences and discuss best practices in ensuring the alignment of budget plans to the successful implementation of project procurement and management plans while adhering to effective and efficient methods.

The success of the workshop, which was graced by the Director of the Department of Budget and Management Regional Office VIII, Dir. Imelda C. Laceras, together with Ms. Florita M. Lacdo-o, Chief Budget and Management Specialist as the Resource Persons, provides the University a chance at improving its planning and initiating phases of budgeting, which will ultimately affect the procurement processes and the rest of the University’s operations and overall performance.
